Digitally created rally car liveries for prospective medical company sponsorship. |
 |
The car is used in rally events.
It was necessary for this silver car to resemble a cigarette for the purpose of attracting sponsorship from a variety of pharmaceutical manufacturers engaged in the production of nicotine patches and gum.
Samples were required to indicate how the car might appear once the prospective sponsor's livery was applied to the car's body. |
The prospective sponsor's logo has to be relegated to the rear of the car in order that the rally ID number of the car could be placed over the driver and passenger doors.
The manufacturer's logos were acquired by scanning the actual product's packaging.
The 'filter' of the cigarette motif was created using a wood texture. The white paintwork was overlaid solid white pixels with no texture.
The ash was created by cloning an image of compacted dry clay and then colouring the grey results to resemble the burning end of a cigarette.

With the 'filter' component of the design moved further forward on the car's body we have a better composition, though this would necessitate moving the manufacturer's badge further forward into the space reserved for the car's identification number. |
